Whether laying cross-country fiber lines or bringing telephone service to a home, Cowart's Construction Company delivers what the customer requires, honoring this promise made by founder Ralph Cowart: "Our word is good." Since 1975, the Cowart family company's job performance has brought steady growth. A list of contracts completed shows that companies invite bids from Cowart's again and again. President Rick Cowart has supervisors train crews with the goal of helping employees better themselves and prosper. The company provides a wide array of equipment to help crews do their job, maintains the equipment in its own maintenance shop, and promises to obtain the equipment a job requires. Working together as a team and following the principles of cooperative effort to reach a goal, Cowart's has been building communications for more than 25 years. Cowart's Construction Company History Cowart's Construction Company was founded in 1975 by brothers, Ralph Cowart and Claude Cowart Jr. Both had worked in telephone line construction, acquiring experience in the military (Korean War) and in jobs with major telephone contractors in the Southeast, such as Fred Leath and L.W. Routh Construction. In 1987, Claude sold his interest to Ralph and his son, Rick, who lead the business today. Ralph's wife, Rilla, also remains active in the business. Currently, Cowart's Construction has approximately 100 employees and completes multi-million dollar contracts annually. Cowart's Construction is a member of: Power and Communication Contractors Association. |
